Professor Susan Hunston, a longtime member of BAAL and Chair of BAAL between 2006 and 2009, has been awarded an OBE in the New Year’s Honours “for services to Higher Education and Applied Linguistics”.
Professor Hunston continues to support our Association and our discipline in many ways, including through her work with AILA (the International Association of Applied Linguistics) and UCGAL (the University Council of General and Applied Linguistics).
