We are delighted to announce the inaugural event of the BAAL Multilingual SIG on Monday 8 July 2019 at the University of Westminster (309 Regent Street, London W1B 2HW) from 10:30 until 17:30.
The inaugural event has been planned to showcase current work on multilingualism among the BAAL community and beyond, to provide an opportunity for the exchange and cross fertilisation of ideas aimed at promoting the multilingual turn in applied linguistics and sociolinguistics, and to discuss the agenda for the Multilingualism SIG. A short AGM will follow the event to elect committee members. In an inclusive spirit, we encourage all participants to submit a poster of a current project on multilingualism. Details of the programme are attached.
