We are delighted to announce the formation of a new Language Policy special interest group of the British Association of Applied Linguistics. The SIG is interested in language policy around the world, and has plans to host online and offline seminars. The inaugural event will be at the University of Leeds, 2 September, at the end of this year’s BAAL conference. Meanwhile the SIG’s email list will be a day-to-day forum for discussion on all things language policy!
Anyone and everyone is welcome to join our group. Membership is free, and by joining the group you’ll be signed up to its email list, and invited to all its events.
More details of the group are on its new website, here: https://sites.google.com/view/langpol/. You can click the ‘Join!’ link at the top to sign up.
