Ethnographies of Language, Gender & Sexuality

Date: Thursday 26th April 2018; 10.30am to 5.30 pm

Place: Goldsmiths, University of London, New Cross, London SE14 6NW

The aim of this event is to highlight the important contributions that ethnography as a methodology can make to the study of language, gender and sexuality. The event encourages a discussion between language, gender and sexuality scholars and linguistic ethnographers, raising questions of theory and methodology, and, above all, offering an insight into a range of current ethnographic studies of language, gender & sexuality in both private and institutional contexts within and outside the UK.

Rates: £45 non-BAAL members; £40 BAAL members: £35 full-time students.
